Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy

 

The FT / IR-4000 spectrometer series has been designed with many of the features provided by the FT / IR-6000 series for research with affordable software for simpler applications such as QA / QC , material identification, academic research and teaching.

The FT / IR-4600 is a powerful spectrometer with many features found in a high quality research instrument such as the incorporation of non-hygroscopic KRS-5 windows that prevent damage by humidity, a DLTTGS detector stabilized by peltier system , a HeNe laser with high emission stability and a high-performance ceramic source for maximum sensitivity. The permanent optical alignment of the interferometer is guaranteed by the “Corner Cube Mirrors” optics and the auto-alignment system to maximize the energy reaching the detector. With a resolution of 0.7 cm-1 and an S / N> 25,000: 1.

The FT / IR-4700 has similar characteristics to the FT / IR-4600, but with a higher resolution (0.4 cm-1) and an S / N ratio> 35,000: 1, making it ideal for high resolution applications, such as gas analysis.

Many of the samples to be analyzed in the laboratory with the new FT / IR-4000 series can be analyzed with the new ATR-PRO ONE single rebound. This ATR has a selection of prisms of the highest performance such as monolithic diamond, germanium (ideal for carbon-black samples) or ZnSe. This same accessory has a selection of pressure clamps up to 10,000 psi (to press the sample against the prism of the ATR) that ensure a better contact of the sample with the diamond crystal. The new development of monolithic diamond provides excellent optical transmission and without any coating or transfer has a great performance in FAR-IR applications up to 30 cm-1

 

Attenuated total reflectance

To gain flexibility this series offers the possibility of internally installing a second detector such as an MCT detector with automatic system and increase up to 200 times the sensitivity of the standard DLaTGS detector. Configurations of the optical elements are also possible in order to work in the Near-IR or FAR-IR range .

Both models FTIR-46000/4700 can be coupled to any series of IRT microscopy to create a versatile system of spectroscopy , for both micro and FTIR macro .

Spectra Manager II is a powerful software platform that incorporates applications for data analysis and control. It is fully compatible with existing Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1 and Windows10) providing a customizable user interface to automate routine tasks , such as sample identification, quality control, etc., allowing to compare with your own spectral library, the customer’s staff or using the KnowItAll software suite that is recognized for its excellent quality in spectral interpretation, spectral search, spectral analysis, commercial libraries, applications for identification of mixtures, etc. and can be configured as standard in its Jasco Edition including 12,000 free lifetime spectra and 250,000 free trial for three months.

The FT / IR-4000 Series is controlled by the Spectra Manager II Software Suite which includes a wide range of standard functions such as spectra measurement, programmed analysis sequences, immediate comparisons for quality control and quantitative analysis. Other additional applications may be added, such as chemometrics (PLS, PCR, CLS, etc.).

 

The spectrometers of FT / IR-6000 series provide an optical bench that can be customized for use with the widest range of experimental requirements, including full vacuum, step-scan, rapid-scan microscopy image and more. .. The FT / IR-6000 series optical bench is based on a 28 ° Michelson interferometer with ” Corner Cube Mirrors ” mirrors and designed for absolute flexibility; in its “standard” configuration features a wide range of light sources, beam splitters and detector options for the different ranges of media, Near-IR , Mid-IRand Far-IR .

The FT / IR-6000 series is purged as standard with an option for total or partial vacuum, aiming to completely eliminate the interference of environmental gases and vapors in the sample spectrum. The system also has algorithms for the automatic elimination of CO2 and H2O. Optionally, the interferometer , the sample compartment and the detector areas can be all discharged (purged) independently (as the IRT-5000/7000 series of microscopic FTIR ) to completely remove the gases and vapors in measurements of samples more sensitive and that are affected by these interferents. The FT / IR-6000 series optical benches can also be used in a combination of vacuum and purge based on instrumental analytical needs.

This series allows to optionally incorporate Rapid Scan to the FT / IR-6600 and FT / IR-6700 models and as standard to the FT / IR / 6800 model , the optional Step-scan mode for all models and to couple a wide range of detectors (1000 Hz) or 10 nanoseconds (100MHz), respectively.

FTIR-6000 System Description

The FT / IR-6000 series consists of three basic optical benches that use the same Spectra Manager software platform . The models are the FT / IR-6600 with a resolution of 0.4 cm-1 (S / N 45000: 1), the FT / IR-6700 with a resolution of 0.25 cm-1 (S / N 47000: 1) both with aluminum optics (optional gold) and model FT / IR-6800 with better resolution 0.07cm-1 (S / N 55000: 1) with gold optics. All of them of series include ceramic source of high emission, beamsplitter of beamsplitter of KBr and DLaTGS detector detector stabilized in temperature by peltier system.
